It's easy to forget that we are all perfect in our own design. Sometimes we muck it up with habits and choices that do not serve us.

3 Keys to Unlocking Your Creativity

artist 3 Keys to Unlocking Your Creativity

Your life is your art.

Your heart is your paintbrush.

With each word, thought, and action you take, you are sculpting your destiny.

You are an artist.

Do you like what you see?

Creativity is not just for artists, singers, and performers.

Creativity is your birthright.

At any moment, you can create something new with your intention and actions.

At any moment, you can change or rewrite your life script.

How you do everything is art.

Creativity is natural when you let go of the idea that you need to be or do something perfectly. Perfection is only a concept and not based on any reality.

There is no such thing as perfection in the world or at the level of your personality.

The attachment to perfection is a creativity killer.

Let it go.

When you stop judging yourself and simply allow yourself to do the best you can, you free yourself to enjoy the process.

When you are more committed to the process than the outcome of your creation, you are free. You give yourself permission to purely express yourself, and it takes the performance pressure off. Then you get into flow and more creativity is unlocked.

Your journey is the destination, and each step the reward.

You end up being more creative when you become more committed to growing than the end result.

We sometimes get so stuck in the same repetitive routines that are familiar and comfortable. Repeating the same old, leaves no room for creating new.

So mix up your routines and surprise yourself.

Routines are habits that you cling to for safety. We do this because they worked for us in the past. But they may limit you now and in the future.

Here are some creativity questions you can ask yourself:

  • What am I doing that is working but limiting my creative expression and next level?
  • What would be scary to do, but I know I must do?
  • What would I do if money were no object?
  • What would I do if I were to begin from scratch?

Every moment of your life is an opportunity to be creative.

The more curious you are in life, the more creative you will be.
