Stress is our own individual unique experience. You have all felt its threat at some time or the other, moreover, perhaps experienced its onslaught. Remaining impervious to it, in today's fast track world, is almost obviously an impossibility. So examining its reasons and finding ways of dealing with it, is actually our prime duty towards ourselves.

Stress has, we can say in a broad spectrum, five different forms.

SUBJECTIVE EXPERIENCE
We can actually say that stress is the subjective experience of distress. That is when it is a perceived threat to ones well being, or one's position in society. More so when dealing with it, exceeds one's resources.

PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE
Stress manifests itself through various symptoms, like high Blood Pressure, tension headaches and upset stomach.

This includes, smoking too much, consumption of too much alcohol, overeating, under eating etc.

LOWERED PERFORMANCE
Stress makes a decline set in, in the performance levels of the individual.

DISSATISFIED PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS 
Stress definitely gets people agitated and restless. This makes relationships suffer.
It is important that we notice the early signs of stress, before it actually takes over and taxes our system. Then onward we must develop basic stress management skills.

These are important to better manage personal relationships. We have to learn the power of sharing our expectations.

Learning to forgive is most imperative. Being a good listener is important. Communicating your feelings is essential.

TRAINING THE MIND
First and foremost is the need to zero in on your particular kind of stress.
1. Awareness is the key to finding a solution to, any kind of problem. Develop an awareness to stress and its early sighns.
2. Find a relaxation skill suitable to your temperament.
3. Use your particular skill, at the first hint of stress showing up.
4. Develop behavioral strategies to prevent stressful situations.

WHAT IS A STRESSOR
Any situation that stresses you , is your personal stressor. People always have their own individual  stresses. Certain things could be stressing certain people. Their jobs, relationships, schedules, whereas these same things could go unnoticed by others.

We all have our unique set of resources, and our own way of perceiving life.
Managing your own personal stressor is a practical way of handling stress.

MINIMIZE THE STRESSORS IN YOUR LIFE
This is what comprises of Stress Management. We need to take charge of our lives, and manage our stressors with a great deal of diplomacy. 

Identify your stress, or become aware of , how your mind and body, play up with each other to create a balance.

TARGET A STRESSOR
You need to develop a habit to build reilience towards things that upset you. Stay present and identify how8 to respond.

Once you have learnt how to connect within, you will know exactly how to respond to your stressor.


DEVELOP A STRESS MANAGEMENT ROUTINE
We can say that just as we have routines for other activities, give yourself, 15 minutes morning and evening regularly in practices to alleviate stress. Of course you need to find a personal routine which resonates with you. 


Once you know your stress alleviating formula, focus with intent.
