Like many energy readers, my life was good. I was married, raising three children, living a very busy life. The days flowed through the school years and the seasons in Alaska, without much pause.

That was until I had a significant health change. My recovery required rest and letting go of my many responsibilities. This life-altering experience held the healing my soul was seeking. Maybe you can relate?

As my mind shifted into a completely new awareness. I found a peace and calm I had never known before. I discovered how easy it was to manifest my best life. What caused me stress lessened. Energy flowed, healing returned, my life became great in an entirely different way.

I still had the family, but my spiritual self was activated. Almost overnight I could tap into other realms and receive messages. My skills as a psychic medium grew and I knew I had to share these healing messages with the world. It didn’t take long for my business to grow and thrive by just word of mouth.

My journey led me from Alaska to Arizona, where I continue to do my work as an intuitive healer, offering personal astrology and energy readings to my clients. Whether it’s Zoom, phone, or in-person outside in my garden, my work continues to thrive. If you’re ready to explore intuitive healing or experience an astrological reading, I would love to work with you.

Make Time for Learning

graduation-day-picture-id1066324992 Make Time for Learning

My husband and I assisted one of our children moving last week. Chloe was leaving dorm life for a shared apartment situation.  She successfully completed her first year of college and wanted to stay in Bellingham, Washington.   Her passion is exploring and fully soaking in the environment. She holds a vision of developing a career path that allows her to be with nature while sharing adventures with others.  This means she needs to gain skill sets not just found in college classes.  Becoming a kayak guide, river guide or even a deck hand, is not included in her Outdoor Recreation major.  She will blend her formal education with her outdoor experiences and create a fulfilling lifestyle.

I recognize Chloe is very lucky to be motivated to seek knowledge in something that she loves.  She is well on her way to fulfilling her dreams from when she was eight years old.

As we wrapped up our Bellingham adventure, I received a message from a person I worked with long ago.  She is in her early 50’s and has decided to pursue a fellowship.  My friend is seeking another diploma because she loves learning.  Both women are living inspired lives.

Committing to gaining knowledge and translating that experience into an expression of yourself, creates a lovely life. The action of exploring and learning should be part of our life regardless of circumstances. I believe each of us is here to help the world become a kinder, more loving and compassionate place.  We do this by following our heart and sharing gifts that are inspired by our passions.  If we allow ourselves each day, an opportunity to pursue something we are curious about, our collective world will change.

Dedicated Expansion

mikita-karasiou-591391-unsplash-1024x683 Dedicated Expansion

A coaching client recently shared her concern of holding space for everyone in a yoga class. She was preparing to lead a series of classes abroad. My initial response; she was not solely responsible for the energy in a collective space. This mental picture has stuck in my mind.

Most of us can relate to the desire of holding space for others. We want to help our tribe feel safe and loved. Similar to a yoga teacher, maybe the greatest gift we can offer, is showing our branch of humanity, how to create and maintain their own sacred space. We can do this for our families, friends and even strangers.

Before I hold group meditations, I fill the space with love and gratitude. I welcome in our guides and all forms of love and inspiration into the space we will collectively be sharing. My intention is that everyone will experience the presence of peace, love and gratitude during the meditation. I imagine many yoga teachers do something similar. We are really just creating a place for people to slow down, and open up to the unseen. Once the connection is made, it is always available. Peace and love can be pulled into any situation, no yoga mat required.

Healing Ghosts

ferdinand-stohr-203753-unsplash-1024x683 Healing Ghosts

I received a call from a commercial property owner in Anchorage, Alaska. She had recently acquired a defunct hotel that is adjacent to one of her buildings. The two structures are separated only by a barrier wall. This dynamic woman has been instrumental in helping refine and clean up a particular street in Anchorage. The old image was of prostitution, bars and homelessness. The growing image is young and prosperous.

The neglected hotel has a lot of history and emotion tied to it. It had taken this owner several years to secure it. When the deal was complete, she invited local media in to film and take pictures. During the filming, one of the crew felt the presence of an old man that seemed very attached to the building. This presence spooked everyone, and was considered a ghost.

I was contacted to help clean up the energy. The owner didn’t want to proceed if there was a spirit or ghost stuck in the building. The hotel was beyond repair and would need to be completely torn down. We set the date for the clearing. I encouraged the new owner to send love to the space and to set her intentions for the improvements.

Our Personal Wellness Is Reflected In Our World

woman-dances-at-sunrise-in-the-mountains-picture-id942893092 Our Personal Wellness Is Reflected In Our World
In the past week I have shared many conversations with people who are seeking advice on how to live life with peace and wellness.  Too many people are experiencing anxiety, chronic illness and general poor health.

A couple days ago I met with one of my clients. Amanda works full time and is married, with two very young children. She unknowingly offered some great advice while sharing a work related issue.   A committee she is on, requires everyone to pitch ideas and have them presented by just one person.  One of her coworkers is afraid Amanda won’t get credit for her individual input.  My client was surprised by this idea.  Amanda  shared that she doesn’t have the time or energy to worry about what people may or may not do.

She nailed it!  None of us has the time or energy to worry about what may or may not happen! That is a very valuable piece of a wellness model. Speaking of a wellness model, we should each have one. The first step requires asking yourself what does personal wellness looks like to you.  Give this some thought. Do you see yourself living a life free of doctors? Do you see yourself taking medicine. Do you see yourself having time for alternative therapies? What  colors, smells, textures bring calm to you.  Do you want animals in your life? What food do you eat. What people are in your life of wellness? Do you want naps and unscheduled time?  Do you need the city or the quiet? Where do you live?  Do you want to travel?  What are your spiritual practices? Where do you feel best?  What inspires you? Answering these questions can provide you a blue print for your wellness model.

Feeling Truth

groupemeditation--Erik_Brolin Feeling Truth
Most evenings my husband, son and I settle into the living room for our evening practice. After the dogs are calm and a candle lit, I lead us on a guided meditation. We also use this time to discuss the power of words, thoughts and positive affirmations. My heart expands each time we practice together.

The combination of positive affirmations and meditation is a powerful way to experience life’s abundance, peace, and Grace.

What makes an affirmation good or strong enough to positively enhance your life? Choose your words carefully. Ideally your affirmation will be short, uncomplicated, based on the present, and most importantly feel truthful. You need to be able to feel the truth, or in other words, believe your affirmation. Here is a easy to understand this concept of feeling truth.

Imagine sharing a wonderful experience with your friend. All the words, joy, feelings, emotions flow together perfectly. You are sharing a truthful experience. Your body responds and your heart opens. You are ready to both receive and share; love and abundance.

Moments In Time

erik-brolin-1218513-unsplash-1024x57_20190415-153618_1 Moments In Time

Spring time shifts how the sunlight enters our house.  I returned home midmorning, planning on writing my blog.  As I looked for the perfect patch of light, I wondered what I would write about.  It is almost always a mystery until the words find a way to each other and form a story.  Our small kitchen table was perfect for discovering the unknown   I brought my lap top, calendar, and phone.  My office was complete.  Just the dogs and I were home.   Everything was perfect until I knocked over my mug of coffee and coconut milk all over my lap top key board.  It was totally soaked.

I quickly flipped my computer over and watched the coffee pour off the computer and puddle on the counter.  I still held hope that my computer would function.  After about 5 minutes, I used a hairdryer to hasten the drying process.  That is when I lost hope.  My computer was clearly nonfunctioning. My frustration lasted a couple minutes.  It wasn’t great timing, plus I hadn’t backed up my laptop.

My mind went to why did this happen?  Is there a message from the Universe hidden in this spill?  Or was it just a matter of time for an event like this?  I happen to be in the awkward stage of rebranding my business.  I have a new name, website, and a new facebook and twitter account.  I am trying to consolidate all my accounts. All of my original business information was kept on my lap top.  Maybe I just gave myself a clean slate.  I just closed the door on my old business and opened the door to all the possibilities of my new business.

Rivers of Emotion

riverwalking Rivers of Emotion

As a child one of my favorite summer pass times was swimming in the river. A couple of us would walk on the old county road to the slow moving water.  There were a few swimming holes that were walking distance; between two and four miles away.  If we were lucky one of our parents would pick us up, so we did not have the long trek home.   Sometimes I took off my shoes and walked on the white reflective strip on the pavement.  It was cooler then the dark asphalt.

I loved swimming under water.  It was enchanting and dream like.  The rest of the world couldn’t touch me. I could move thru the clear water and touch the sandy bottom.

During winter the school bus used the same road that followed the river. I could see our swimming spots thru the windows.  Storms turned the river dark and muddy as it flowed over the banks.  Trees would be moved, as the tranquility of the slow moving water was replaced by much stronger and forceful currents.

One winter a tree fell into the river above our favorite swim hole. Water was able to move thru the branches and under the tree, but the passage of anything that could not go with the new flow was blocked.

Early the following summer, a group of river kayakers stopped at the tree. They could have easily carried their boats around the fallen tree, but chose to remove the tree from the water. They attempted to do this by breaking branches and dislodging everything that had gotten tangled in the tree.  The river current carried all of the newly freed material through our swimming hole.  We got out of the water, as sticks and leaves drifted by.  The tree remained, as the actions dislodged some gray water snakes.  We watched the snakes as they were carried by the current.  This memory still is with me today.  At the time I wondered why the people were being so destructive; I still do.

Brave of Heart

highwire Brave of Heart

I won the lottery; or at least I enjoy the mindset of a lottery winner.  This feeling of abundance is one of absolute gratitude, joy and feeling complete.  I know this can be achieved by each of us. These feelings are not obtained by external objects.  However, there can be a catalyst or tool found outside ourselves that helps us find our unique expressions of joy.    This catalyst promotes the identification of joy, gratitude and reminds us it resides deep within.

When I visit Arizona and feel the sun on my face, I can’t stop smiling. I love the hiking trails and the warm air. I love our new home and community.   I love all the possibilities, not just for me, but for my family.

I was recently in Scottsdale to cohost an event with another Life Coach. We created a really fun experience, that hopefully inspired lasting change in our guests.  I was sharing my enthusiasm for life, when someone mentioned I have a positive attitude.

I am happy, and I do have a positive attitude.  The question is, what came first?  Was I born with the ability to feel happy and therefore experience the lottery lifestyle?  Or did the lottery lifestyle make me happy?

Happiness came first and guided my life choices into a lottery winning lifeJ

Through trials and tribulations, I have learned happy DNA is only part of what creates a positive attitude.  There is another component in most happy people; bravery.  We all have the ability to bravely, live happy, and experience our dreams coming true.

Living a happy life requires bravery and insight.  We need to get a glimpse of our true potential in this life, feel it and believe it. Identify first what you personally need to thrive.  This is the junction of insight where we connect to our potential.   Bravely going after what we need to flourish, brings happiness to full bloom. Holding that vision in your heart and knowing that it is yours to experience.

Vibrational Rebirth

spring-fed-images-136098-unsplash-1024x68_20190303-134856_1 Vibrational Rebirth

Life conditions are near perfect today. The sun is radiating bright in the sky and promising Spring. I enjoyed a walk in nine degree temperatures with a friend and her dog. We explored the fun idea of how our loved ones help us from the other side. Both of us shared interesting examples of how are thoughts often reappear in the physical form; Law of Attraction. Susan works in the medical field. Many times during her career, she will read an article or think of an unusual condition, and within days she will have a client walk in with the plight. How does it happen? This is the unmistakable magic of life.

I have an idea or thought, of how our Universe is structured, and how this has allowed the phenomenon of Law of Attraction.

Imagine each of our souls is a reflective hologram image of all that is, God, The Creator, The Universe, Pure Potential. This reflective image is what allows the depth of light to travel untouched by sound. The holographic image is needed for humans to touch the idea of pure light energy or God.

Similar to not being able to look at the sun straight on; the human mind is unable to fathom the pure light potential of all that is.

Each of these reflective, holographic images of our creator, contain the energy or blue print of our individual souls. Our souls reflect into the universe every possible life experience, be it as an animal, plant or mineral.

Our beautiful souls channel the power of creation (Pure Potential) through waves of energy that become thoughts of the animal, plant or mineral. This energy of creation (consciousness) is carried on through every experience our souls have helped create for us.

Textures

textures Textures

As life flows thru us we experience many insights and changes. These shifts create texture in our life and the energy that surrounds us. Similar to not wanting a flat line on a heart monitor, a flat life is not desirable.  Living with awareness of the textures, leads to a life that is rich with emotions and pure potential.

Think of textures as infinite possibilities. Textures are the ability to feel, dream, touch, discover and expand into what life offers us.  To fully experience all the textures, one must have faith in the power of mindfulness. It requires the ability to look beyond one’s personal life situation and recognize the connection to a vast universe.

The Elements of Kindness

kindnesscover The Elements of Kindness
I have been blessed with many moments of kindness by complete strangers. Most of them simple, but they stay with me. I often reflect on them, and hope that I have also shared kindness with those unknown to me.

Roughly thirty years ago I was working in a bicycle shop in Sacramento, California. I loved it! I had eclectic coworkers and I received discounts on bikes and gear. After two years, I was ready to move on to a new adventure. I wanted to ride a mountain bike from Sacramento to Moab, Utah. My route was drawn on a map and I purchased the camping gear needed.

I was young and my entire life plan only took me to Moab;  I was open to what the Universe offered me.

The trek was going to begin in June. I chose the roads least traveled, combined with some of our National Parks. I was planning a solo adventure, when a frequent customer, at the bike store suggested he join me. I don’t remember thinking it was either good or bad; just a different plan.

Experiencing Life With A Supple Heart

child-love_orig Experiencing Life With A Supple Heart
Years ago while driving my daughter through icy streets, she shared something interesting. She felt time standing still. Sometimes she watched for the pause while I drove. Chloe would pick an area in front of the car and then close her eyes. When she reopened her eyes, everything outside and inside the car was exactly the same. Logically she should have seen a different part of the road. I’m sure there is an easy explanation. I choose to think the reason is part cosmic and part scientific.

I inquired if she still saw colors around people. Her response was, “Yes, when I think about it”. I understand this. All it takes to connect to an expanded world, is to think about, and feel the expansion. When she was much younger she was afraid there was something wrong with her eyes. She saw colors that other people did not. Eventually she shared with me the colors of her world.

She is not alone; many children experience the ability to easily live in an expanded, or more supple world. They may see images or hear sounds that others can’t. Gradually some children loose this ease of connection. Our adult understanding of the world shadows over their sweet version of life.

Living In A Vortex Of Love

hot-air-balloons-picture-id500901404 Living In A Vortex Of Love
As I crested the top of a hill I spotted two and then three hot air balloons. They were so distant, that I could not make out the individual colors. The balloons were both beautiful and inspiring. The way they moved through the air on wind currents reminded me of someone moving gracefully through life. The vantage point they shared from high above the ground, offered a greater scope of our world and thus our connection. Both the grace and the ability to observe on a large scale, reminded me of living a conscious life.

The following day my family and I were gifted the opportunity to visit a Horse and Human Sanctuary; Tierra Madre. As I opened the gate into the sanctuary we all felt the powerful healing energy. The gate protects everyone and everything in the sanctuary; only open hearts are allowed inside.

There was a small wild rabbit just inside, observing our entrance. Soon we were greeted by a dog. We learned the dog had been rescued from the side of the freeway. We found it easy to leave everything but love and inspiration outside. The sanctuary is a safe place for all.

Divine Messages | Inspired Guidance

snowsilence Divine Messages | Inspired Guidance
A plow was loudly pushing the snow from our drive way. I waited in the softly lit hallway with the dogs. I had just finished my morning meditation and was not prepared for the noise of the blade bumping and scraping on the driveway or the loud engine running.

As the truck pulled away I let the dogs out. I followed them into the snow. The contrast was amazing. I was surrounded by silence. Snow was gently falling. The lights glowed in the darkness. I felt peace all around me. Watching our dogs, run made me smile. It was a morning like many others; but perhaps the contrast helped me recognize the presence of peace.

One of my favorite traditions comes with the New Year. I love writing goals that lead to celebrating success.

Experiencing Protection

fallen-picture-id868954706 Experiencing Protection
I stepped into the shower, noticing a glass bottle of vinegar that someone had used on their hair. Once again I made a mental note to not leave glass in our stone shower.

While enjoying the warm water I was thinking about my day. I put conditioner on my hair enjoying the luscious smell. An ominous sound entered my awareness. I then began to feel the shower move underneath my feet. We were experiencing an earthquake, a big earthquake.

No time to turn off the water, I grabbed a towel and bolted. My son, the dogs and I ran down the stairs and out the door. Before the power went out I noticed art work on the ground or hanging precariously on the walls. It was like looking at everything in slow motion. I could hear the sounds of shaking and falling. I could see the destruction. Time stopped.

Once outside I stood barefoot in the snow hugging our son. Our dogs were completely confused, one ran away. I don’t remember even feeling cold. I had practically nothing on, wet, in 20 degree temperatures. I regrouped and took a deep breath.

As I hugged Finn, I reminded him we are always protected. We will be OK. As the Earth beneath our feet calmed down, we went back inside. There was no power and the sun was not up yet. I returned to the shower to rinse my hair. The after-shocks continued.

Finn looked for the run-away dog. I walked through our home. It could have been much worse. Only glass objects were broken, no structural damage was apparent. I touched base with my husband and other family members. We were all in semi shock, but doing fine.

As I cleaned up pieces of glass I thought about protection. What is this protection I promise myself and our children? Today called for me to dig deeper into my spiritual beliefs and reckoning on protection.

How to Celebrate with Peace

peace-meditation-love_orig How to Celebrate with Peace

My son and I touched down in Anchorage at 3:30 in the morning. I was relieved to see the streets clear of snow; it was an easy drive home. I was looking forward to the feeling of being settled. At home, I lit some candles, exhaled and experienced peace.

The last few days I had noticed some feelings of stress. The holiday season had arrived. Thanksgiving was just a few days away. I could also feel the pressure of every day matters. I had emails, appointments and family obligations that had piled up over the last week.

This historically has been a personal struggle of mine. Is it possible to stay connected to peace during the holiday season? This is the time of year that is often depicted as magical. It can be amazingly wonderful; but it can also difficult to stay connected to the most important aspect; love and peace.

The next morning before I started my meditation I recognized how much I enjoy our home. It is filled with good feelings. The energy from our prayers and meditations fill my favorite rooms. The mountains are visible thru the windows. The trees behind me share the energy of protection. I easily slipped into a deep meditation.

My awareness shifted. I was greeted by love, a version of each of us.  The veil evaporated. Everything fell away except the feelings of love, peace and protection. I was home again. There are no limitations of time, size, or quantity.  It is simply recognizing heart and soul. This is where our true self is.

I say simply... because it is with the gentle shift of awareness that we all fall into peace.

My morning meditation reminded me of my personal need to bring the holiday season back to my heart, my center. It is here that I am able to bring love into my actions that create each day.

To experience the holidays with joy; I keep my energy focused on my heart. I keep it simple. When I begin to feel scattered or spread too thin, I bring my awareness back to my heart. This is where I need to be, to pull the magic into my holiday experience.

Grief and Joy

coming-home_orig Grief and Joy
Last December my family and I spent a week or so, in Arizona. We were looking at someday, possibly buying a house for the Winter months. Seeking the sun and dirt trails, we explored both Sedona and Phoenix. My husband loves Sedona’s seasons and red rocks. I felt pulled by the warmth of the Phoenix area.

Searching for hiking near our hotel in Scottsdale, we discovered a little trail head. Walking up the dirt path I heard dogs barking and wondered about the houses. They were mostly concealed by trees.  The trail led us to a junction of several more peaks and valleys. We both love the expansive feeling found in the sun and open land.

The Power In Our Connections

connections_orig The Power In Our Connections
In July our son declared he wanted to switch to a different swim team. Ultimately, he was seeking a new type of connection with a swim coach. Our family had been affiliated with his team for six years. This decision would certainly have impact on our everyday life!

Finn is 12 years old. He is learning about the power of intentions, connections and meditations. Our family values these practices. As a parent I am showing him how to blend our habits from home into his outside life.

Many People are in the process of blending their internal practices with the outside world.

Watching Finn make the transition from where he discovered his passion for swimming, to a new environment, held challenges for me as a parent. We experienced the transition differently.

I talked about the process of letting something go. I asked Finn what his expectations were for his new coaches. What type of connection did he want and what did he need to do, to make the connection happen?

Changing the Vibe

african-friends-in-the-park-picture-id898744950 Changing the Vibe
Putting together a booth that feels good, is both easy and fun for me…. I can say that, now. I only need flowers with extra sparkles, friends, and my books. I clearly set my intentions, and fill the space with love.

Last week, I was reminded of how important intention is.

At The Alaska Women’s Show, I was offering free mini readings and guided meditations. Sitting in my rented space, I wondered if I should be there. It was a glorious fall day outside. No one was showing any interest in what I was offering.

The other booths were packed with clothing, stun guns and hunting information. You could also find makeup, personal trainers and hand bags that could carry concealed weapons. It was expected to have at least 7000 guests. Many would enjoy the wine garden.

A few weeks ago, on a whim I decided to market my book at this show. The organizer only had one table available, besides mine. I called my friend Rebecca, an acupuncturist. She took the last space. Rebecca invited a rolfer, Marnie, to share her space. The three of us were tucked away in hall by ourselves. Vending machines had been moved to make room for us.

My simple set up was on one side of our shared space. My healing friends had a table, chairs and a bed. Lots of attendees stopped by to see what they were offering. Some even experienced the free therapies. They were new concepts for most of the women.

Living a Life of Juicy Intentions

healthy-food-background-healthy-food-in-paper-bag-fruits-and-on-picture-id937808604 Living a Life of Juicy Intentions
Last week I was seeking to connect to my life with greater intention. I also wanted to clean up the food I put in my body. After a little research I decided to focus on a three-day juice cleanse. A local market offered organic fresh pressed juice cleanses. It looked pretty easy. The bottles were labeled. The directions were included. All I had to do is drink the jewel colored juices.

I have eaten a plant based diet most of my life. With this being said, pretzels and tortilla chips are part of my diet. There is room for improvement.

I was excited to start! The idea of bright fruits and vegetables infusing my body with different colors from the sun, made me smile. Soon I would be loving my body and mind with beautiful hues of light. The juice reminded me of miracles held in bottles. This is the type of medicine I believe in.
