Wishing for you in 2020: Serenity

clouds Wishing for you in 2020: Serenity

My hope is that you’ll find serenity in the New Year, the calm within the storm, within yourself.

In this world, we need that calm, centered place!

As I write, I’m looking out at the sky. Moments ago it was pouring down rain. Now there’s a break in the clouds, the light is streaming through, and it’s spectacular!

If we watch and listen, we can find that place again and again.

HEALTH. SERENITY. GRACE.

That’s what I hope you see in the New Year.

Nourishing thoughts!

Rebecca

A Thoughtful 2020

woman-using-laptop-picture-id1074029826 A Thoughtful 2020

Many people start off the New Year with resolutions – but I’d like to help you (and I include myself) in stating that beside making resolutions this year – I think it’s so important to try and become more aware of the idea that ‘life follows thought’.

To put it simply … YOU are what you think. Most people don’t realize how powerful thoughts are and how each thought has its own unique energy signature. You’re a magnetic energy being – so that when you have a thought – it’s immediately lodged in your magnetic field, which is more commonly known as your aura.

When that thought remains in this field for any length of time, it often radiates out to be absorbed into the Universe. It’s easy to imagine what’s likely to happen to someone who constantly fears certain things will happen in their life. They’re consciously thinking about it, dwelling on it, obsessing on it, feeding their precious energy into it. The net result is that they end up sending that stream of fear-based thought out into the universe. It’s like they’re holding up a sign above their head with a giant arrow saying: “Hey, come to me!” So, it usually does. Then you’ll hear them say: “I knew this was going to happen!” It’s not rocket science to see that we attract what we think.

Step Away From The Gizmo Zone And Find Peace

gizmoworld Step Away From The Gizmo Zone And Find Peace

We are getting into February and still thinking of the New Year in terms of rejuvenating, here I feel that the mind, body, spirit connect is essential.

Earlier for me, the evolution of the mind and soul seemed to be of the utmost importance, and my "divine love" seeking spirit, spent every iota of my breathtaking Self, in evolving at that level only. But I feel now that, as my own Consciousness and awareness changes, it is very important for me to share with my readers, the importance of improving our physical bodies.

A Reflection As We Approach the New Year

refectionyear A Reflection As We Approach the New Year

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language. And next year’s words await another voice.” — T.S. Eliot

Another year is upon us. Isn’t it amazing?

It feels like just yesterday that I was embarking on 2018 and preparing to launch I’ve Been Thinking… into the world. At the time, I had no idea how the book would be received or whether people would enjoy reading it. I have to admit I was even a little scared. But today, I am able to look back on this past year in awe and with deep, deep gratitude.

I loved being on the road this past year meeting so many of you at book events. I also enjoyed meeting you at our Move for Minds events benefiting The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement, through my work at NBC News, and through my work with my daughter Christina talking about our Netflix film “Take Your Pills.” Being on the road throughout 2018 was inspiring and invigorating. Why? Becaus eit gave me a chance to meet so many of you, our Sunday Paper readers.

How To Start The New year Stress-Free

2019sand How to Start The New year Stress-Free

We are all getting geared to step into the New Year. The thought of any kind of stress getting carried into the next year is really not very exciting. . I am going to suggest a few things we need to change about ourselves in order to step into a happy new year.

We do keep hearing this phrase very often, and I do believe in it, the fact that "Change is the only constant." But I also believe that the change must be positive. This of course is only in our own hands. We have to keep the focus of our minds and our thoughts running in the right direction.

EXAMINE YOUR EMOTIONS

I think its very important for us to be aware of our emotions. Negative emotions like anger, most specially disturb our equilibrium. They tend to give us acute stress in spurts, which if it turns into a habit, turns into chronic stress.

My One Intention This New Year

Maria-Shriver-My-One-intention-this-new-year

Last year around New Year’s, my kids and I stood around a fire. One by one, we threw into the fire what we wanted to burn from the past year. We also voiced our intentions for our lives moving forward.

We did it again this year, but this time, I had just one intention that I wanted to set. That was to live and lead from a place of love. That’s it. Every other intention I’ve made in the past pales in comparison.

Trust me, leading from a place of love is going to be way harder than losing 10 pounds (which can be done, but it always comes back — at least for me). It’s going to be way harder than silencing the critical voice in my head (although I did make progress on that last year, so I’m proud of myself for that). It’s also going to be way harder than giving up sugar (well, that is pretty hard, so maybe I’ll save that one for Lent).

Yes, leading from a place of love is going to be my toughest intention yet because it means I’m going to have to show love to people who don’t show it to me. It means I’m going to have to show it to people who I don’t agree with, who I don’t care for, and who don’t show it to those that I do care about. It also means I’m going to have to find it deep within myself when my first reaction might be anything but loving.
