How to Believe in Yourself & Change Your Life in the Process

Learning how to believe in yourself will open up endless possibilities in your life. At times you may find this difficult to do. The truth is that we’ve been conditioned throughout our lives to doubt ourselves. We must retrain ourselves to get rid of our fears and self-doubt in order to build self-esteem and self-confidence.

Everything you have in your life is a result of your belief in yourself and the belief that it’s possible. Here are the four most important steps to learning how to believe in yourself. Practice them and you’ll be amazed at the results:

  • Believe it’s possible. Believe that you can do it regardless of what anyone says or where you are in life.
  • Visualize it. Think about exactly what your life would look like if you had already achieved your dream.
  • Act as if. Always act in a way that is consistent with where you want to go.
  • Take action towards your goals. Do not let fear stop you, nothing happens in life until you take action.

Let’s take a look at each of these steps...

Discover a Life Changing Element We Are Forgetting to Add to Our Intention Setting

At this point in my life I cannot imagine not working with the power of intention on a daily basis. I find it to be a phenomenal tool when it comes to getting things done. Not only do I usually experience the best possible outcome, I receive it in the best possible way.

I have also noticed that I am spiritually guided to set intentions when faced with new challenges. I’ll hear a sentence enter my thought process that asks, “What is your intention for ______?”. For the most part, anything that enters our minds that is outside of regular habitual thinking is the guidance of spirit. This would be the point where I stop and get clear over what I would like to see unfold. This does not mean that things go my way all the time. At the very least intention setting makes it possible for me to let go of the fear around an impending situation. I can release the contemplation out of my mind and move forward with optimism.

I Feel Pretty Film & the Law of Attraction

We just went to see Amy Schumer’s new comedy, I Feel Pretty, which is touching and funny, and I highly recommend it.

The premise of the film is that an ordinary, pudgy woman, Renee, of just average looks, wishes to be breathtakingly beautiful.

Renee falls off her bike at Soul Cycle, hits her head, and when she awakens, she looks in the mirror and sees the beauty she always hoped to become.

Manifest Miracles Turbo Style!

PLAY THE THREE MINUTE MIRACLE GAME

I’m ridiculously content this morning because I did this game that I hope you’ll muster the courage to do out loud with me. I call it The Three Minute Miracle Game and I can tell you it works for me every time.

Let me ask you something. Do you notice that it can be really difficult to own your desires, really get that you are worthy of them, that when you look into the outer conditions of your life (or watch the bad news reminding you to be freaked out) you think that is what your future holds?

We all get hypnotized by it and let’s face it, how many of you, myself included were taught that you had to dim your light to belong, tone it down, that you had to fit into a skinny box, a young box, a religious box, an “x” box that now you have to really guess to figure out (omg I don’t know what box I need GARF!!) – to be happy, or just to belong etc.

Just My Luck | Soul Inspirations 269

Have you ever noticed how some people seem to have all the luck and good fortune? If so, have you wondered if there’s some secret or magic formula? If only this was true!

Let me enlighten you with the real truth. The force that works through your soul, that determines what’s possible or impossible, the difference between success over failure, and above all who we are—is the power of your belief.

I full appreciate that some people believe in a higher power than themselves, just as there are some who believe in love and abundance, while others sadly believe they’re alone and believe they are only just meant to survive. Equally, there are some who just walk aimlessly upon this planet, accepting whatever comes their way, with no real sense of purpose or without question. Let me stress …  it’s not about luck. It’s about how and why you attract such conditions in your life.

The Power of Daydreaming!

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about advanced manifesting techniques and in the process remembered that some of the EASIEST manifesting comes from daydreaming….

When you are daydreaming, you are letting your imagination run wild, fantasizing about something that feels good, but without any strong attachment or need to “make it happen.” There is no “want” involved, just the sweetness of playing with your imagination.

Let me give you an example: For many years I have often had the thought, “Someday, I’d really like to visit Thailand.” I have never actively sought to make this happen, but when the thought arises, I close my eyes and imagine that I am visiting Thailand and having a fabulous time there. A few days ago my speaking agent called to tell me that I will soon be offered a speaking engagement in Thailand and I am now waiting to finalize the details.

How crazy is that? By indulging in daydreaming, I manifested something wonderful.

How to Manifest with Ease in Five Simple Steps

How to Manifest with Ease in Five Simple Steps

1. Believe You Can

Manifesting means “intentionally creating what you want.” The most important thing about manifesting with ease is believing you can. Begin by recognizing and naming things already manifested: things in your life that you love. Acknowledge that you’ve already had successes in your life—you just need to learn to dial it in and be more consistent.

Manifesting with ease is believing you can.

Realize that, when you achieved that thing you love about your life, it all started with a simple desire. Everyone has desires, and everyone has the power to achieve those desires! Whether it was a job or a pair of shoes, at some point there was a desire that led to intention, and that intention led to success. See, you’ve done it before—you can do it again!

Activating the Power of the Subconscious Mind

The untapped power of the subconscious mind can lead you to new success in your personal life and business life. Discovering how to turn your thoughts into positive and implementing the law of attraction into your daily life can take you to new heights. In order to fully understand the power of your unconscious mind, you first need to understand the difference between your unconscious and your conscious mind. Your conscious mind is the awareness you have in the current moment.

Your Conscious Mind:

This is your awareness of your surroundings, your current thoughts and emotions, the physical sensations in your body, whether or not you’re hungry, and so on. Your unconscious mind is any information that is below the threshold of your current awareness.

Your Subconscious Mind:

Examples of your subconscious are memories, beliefs, fears and subjective maps of reality. The thing with your unconscious mind is it’s very powerful and can, without your awareness, direct the course of what you do in your life.

Because of this, you must learn to choose our thoughts effectively, because your thoughts, both conscious and unconscious, due to the Law of Attraction, are what are creating your current experience of reality—including your level of success in every area of your life—work, financial, relationships, health, and happiness.

The Prospering Power of Attention

..one secret everybody forgets when getting on the manifesting train

My friend the late Dr. Wayne Dyer always said that the power of Intention was the single most important aspect to keep in mind when considering the subject of “reality creation”. What’s that? The ability to create our own reality is wired right into us and is the most natural thing we could do (nobody teaches us this hmmm I wonder why?)

SO, If you’re reading this you are probably already a card-carrying manifesting enthusiast and if you’re new to me you may not be aware but you are seriously doing it all the time!

Take INSPIRED Action to make Dreams Come True

Whether manifesting your next dream career, new home, your soulmate (or whatever), a key component involves taking inspired action. Sometimes that means just trying something new and small, other times it means taking a GIANT LEAP OF FAITH and going for it.

More than 30 years ago, when I was living in South Florida, I had one of the worst days of my life.  I was blindsided when I went to work and got fired.  I never saw it coming.  My ego was deeply bruised and I was in a state of shock. As I began to think about “what’s next,” I realized that a part of me yearned to live in Los Angeles.  A city I had only briefly visited once. Within a few weeks, with less than $1,000, two suitcases, and very few contacts, I moved to L.A.

Was it scary?  You bet!

And, it turned out to be the best thing I ever did.  My entire life is what it is today because I was brave enough to follow my inner yearning.

Be a Badass Spiritual Manifester.

Years ago when I first got introduced to the notion that my thoughts and emotions created my reality I couldn’t get over the simplicity of the concept.  Then I wondered, why was this not taught in school?! It was when I read a book by Florence Scovel Shinn called “The Game of Life and How to Play It” that the light bulb went on with an almost blinding light of recognition. Once this wisdom opened my eyes wide, I then gobbled up every book I could get my hands on, my favorites by Ernest Holmes, James Allen, then Catherine Ponder. This led me to A Course In Miracles and then Louise Hay.

It’s no surprise I ended up a Hay House author, given I ate slept and breathed this subject of manifestation and our role in it all.  I also recognized the spiritual solution to life, and how everything worked so differently than perception allowed.

That is, of course, the big fat dilemma and why I say you really need to learn how to be badass about it! You need so much courage and conviction to make this work because everything in our world suggests otherwise. Our five senses trick us into believing we’re separate from each other and from the world we perceive. We experience time as something other than the truth of what it is too, trapping ourselves into believing in a linear life disconnected from our true power- which is that we are always tapped into Source- the energy of the universe from which we were made.

The universe is alive and conscious and is in everything, animating all of life that we see and even more of what we cannot ever possibly see or know intellectually.  If we go deep inside where logic has no place we will connect to that knowing, that still small voice, that says yes we are partners in this universe and it’s up to us to co-create it!

Change this.. And Change Your Whole World

Can our minds really shape our outer world? Yes, our thinking definitely affects a lot of things. If you think and believe you are unworthy (of love, prosperity, achievement etc.) your thoughts, even the random ones will reflect that, and your behaviors and choices will follow.

What we think about often enough will solidify, make a neural network in our brains (straight up science). What happens is that we essentially turn on an automatic pilot set to seek out evidence in the outer world of what we repeat internally. The Law of Abundance states that everything is possible at all times!

You may identify with my dating story. In my early years of dating I kept attracting men who would victimize me or betray me, most were unfaithful, and some were violent and abusive. I’ve shared my #metoo story about how I was raped, molested when I was little, and how shame took up residence inside me. I didn’t believe I was worthy of love, although I didn’t know that at the time, I saw myself as a victim and deep down I was terrified of intimacy. The outer world presented me with many ways to keep this story alive. I only noticed the bad boys.

Dream Big: Allow for the Limitless Possibility of Your Potential

Climb high
Climb far
Your goal the sky
Your aim the star

~Inscription at Williams College, my alma mater

Are you playing small? Are you dreaming big enough to reach your fullest potential? What if Oprah had only dreamed of an afternoon book club with her closest friends? What if Steve Jobs had never believed in the possibility of a handheld device that could connect us with the world? And, what if Gandhi had only hoped for friendship among a few people?

What could you do? Who could you become? And what gifts could you share with the world if you allowed for the limitless possibility of your own potential?

Big Moon, Big Magic

This week as a follow up to last week’s blog is a continuation of our manifesting magic discussion which began with me asking you “ who do you want to become?” and then giving some tips of how to practice being that person ( in the guise of more questions). Remember that by choosing to consider who you would need to become to live your dream life and “ dressing up” in that “costume” it would help set this in motion for you. That would include imagining how you would dress, stand, talk, what you would think about, etc. if you could see yourself there already.

So remember when I said the veils between the manifest world and the hidden realms are thinnest in these 2 weeks? These next few days are most important- not just to connect with our loved ones in Spirit, but to really get into turbo charged co-creating! Especially since we are also coming up on the Taurus Full Moon this Friday. ( but more on that later).

Note it is super important to consider what you give attention to this week as it can expand in front of you as if you ordered it up on a menu! (and in pretty funny ways too)

Don’t Blame the Victim

A big part of having success with the Law of Attraction is understanding that “thoughts are things” and that our feelings, thoughts, and beliefs help to co-create our reality. Other factors that also influence our lives include karma, divine timing, destiny, free will, and that omnipresent reality of “shit happens.”

When something really bad happens to someone – let’s say a serious diagnosis, losing a job, a big car crash, and then a supposedly well-meaning “spiritual friend” asks them, ” What thoughts were you having that would cause this?”…well, this scenario just makes me crazy.

Is the Secret Real?

Is the Secret real? If you're familiar with my work you know that I'm a huge believer in the Law of Attraction. I was even featured in the groundbreaking movie and book The Secret, which introduced the world to the Law of Attraction in a massive way. I've also written several books about it and the Law of Attraction is featured prominently in the success principles and all the other programs I've created.

Over the years I've heard many people ask whether or not the Secret is real.

Today I want to answer that question...

Are You Pushing Away Miracles?

There once was a woman who saw on TV that her neighborhood was about to be flooded and the officials said everyone should evacuate.

She believed that God would save her and she ignored the warning.

Then a city worker knocked on her door and told her to leave for higher ground and she said no, “God will save me.”

Then the floods came and she had to run up to the second floor to stay dry.

A boat soon came to her second-story window to rescue her and she said no, “God will save me.”

Then the second floor flooded and she ended up on the roof of her home.

A helicopter came and she said no, “God will save me.”

Then she was swept away by the rising water and drowned.

When she got to heaven she yelled at God and said, “Why didn’t you save me?”

God said
“I sent you a warning on TV, a warning to your front door, a rescue boat, and a helicopter, why didn’t you listen?”

Does hope actually have a useful role in new-thought living?

One of my first reference tools for the study of consciousness and manifestation was the book The Game of Life and How to Play It; by Florence Scovel Shinn. She did most of her metaphysical writing in the early 1900's.

In regards to the concept of hope, she felt that it carried too much of the element of uncertainty and doubt. She used the example of a hope chest. Back in her day women would get a hope chest and gather different items to prepare for her future marriage.

Shinn felt that if a person only had hope for a future event or desired reality that it may be lacking the conviction and determination one would need to actually create change.

Hope may hold to much wiggle-room for failure.

My Personal Vision Board

What is a Vision Board?

vision board is a visualization tool which refers to a board of any sort used to build a collage of words and pictures that represent your goals and dreams.

Vision boards can be bought from our website or made with cork or poster boards. By placing visual representations of your goals into one space, you can easily visualize them frequently. Remembering to look at them daily and imagine them as if they have already come true is one of the best ways to activate the Law of Attraction.

The main idea of a vision board is, that it’s a place where you capture images of the goals that you have in your life, the things you want to experience, the things you want to own, and the things you want to do.

The subconscious mind is much more powerful than the conscious mind. We can program the subconscious and the unconscious by putting in images and words and affirmations on a consistent and regular basis.

Why Your Dream Is Already A Reality

The core basis of my belief and understanding about manifestation (whether you are manifesting love, a car, a new career, or a new little black dress) is this:

There is no “time.”  The past, present, and future all happen simultaneously.

When we have a desire for something, it’s because some part of us “already knows that this is possible for us,” on an unseen level.

Your dream is not some random thing out there somewhere; it is already in existence, calling upon you to dream it into your existence.

To do this, we must be willing to own and embrace the dream or desire and then take the necessary, appropriate action steps to bring it into 3-D reality.
