Why Your Desire Is Already a Reality

Why Your Desire Is Already a Reality

The core basis of my belief and understanding about manifestation (whether you are manifesting love, a car, a new career, or a new little black dress) is this:

There is no “time.” The past, present, and future all happen simultaneously.

When we have a desire for something, it’s because some part of us “already knows that this is possible for us,” on an unseen level.

Your dream is not some random thing out there somewhere; it is already in existence, calling upon you to dream it into your existence.

Mark Nepo's Weekly Reflection: Speaking What We Know to be True

Mark Nepo's Weekly Reflection: Speaking What We Know to be True

The story of Moses carries an archetype that we all must face and live with. Of all his brethren, Moses was closest to God. Indeed, he climbed Mount Sinai to receive the ten commandments and heard God directly. But due to an accident as a child in which his tongue was burned by a hot coal, he stammered greatly. All his life, he suffered an inability to easily speak what he knew to be true. Though he listened to God directly, he couldn’t convey what he heard to others.

Inevitably, this is everyone’s fate when crossing from the inner world to the outer world. We all have trouble speaking what matters and yet we must try. Often, we are misled to think that falling short in how we convey the truth is a failure, when it is not trying at all that damages us. For even light through a crack is illuminating.

The Protective Personality - Taking Things Personally

There are more than seven billion people living on this planet which means more than seven billion personalities, opinions and ways of seeing the world. With so many diverse and varying ideologies and socio-cultural milieus, someone is bound to act in a way, or say something that upsets another.

The question is: Do we always have to take everything so personally? If not, how do we make what seems personal, impersonal?

Are Money Issues Getting in the Way?

Are Money Issues Getting in the Way? - By Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks

Money problems in relationships are almost never about money (just as sexual problems are almost never about sex.) We’ve seen couples with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of assets argue for days because one of them bought the more expensive brand of toilet paper.

If it’s actually not about money, what’s it about?

3 Self-Care Practices To Help With Burnout & Rediscover Your Creativity

3 Self-Care Practices To Help With Burnout & Rediscover Your Creativity

A whirlwind Western world worships productivity, as defined by how much we “get done.” But I’d love to see you become “undone” with joy. Because let me assure you of this: Learning how to be unabashedly alive is a very productive goal.

Walk Out of the World of Little “I’s”

Walk Out of the World of Little “I’s” - Guy Finley

When you look at a flower in springtime, standing there with its beautiful petals and leaves, can you understand that flower is not the life alone that you see coming out of the ground? That flower belongs to a much greater life than the individual expression that you behold and say, “Isn’t that beautiful?” You could never experience the radiance of the flower or utter those words if it were not for the fact that the life of that creation itself belongs to a body, a universe of life from out of which that one flower comes.

But we don't see the bigger life behind the little one. We only see the little life… which incidentally is why people fear death, because they only see the little life. They know nothing of the bigger life from out of which the little life has come.

Why Am I Here?

Why Am I Here?

You may ask yourself this from time to time. Not just in reference to a particular place but also here on Earth, in this life. The answer to both is the same: Love. You are here to love—every person, event, experience, and complicated nuance in your life. Why? Because love is who you are at your core; you were born out of love, human and divine, and to express it is part of the human and planetary design. It is as natural as breathing, and as essential to life. Love is woven into the fabric of everything, and it is renewed and enlivened by our expressing it on a daily basis. Without that living manifestation of our core essence, we and the planet would shrivel and die.

Sometimes the path of purpose can be hidden, seemingly impossible to find, but it’s really quite simple. We aren’t here to make lots of money or a name for ourselves, to accumulate possessions or stocks and bonds. Those are distractions, side events that eventually we see through and move on from. The human course is not necessarily self-evident, but gradually our life experiences awaken us to who we really are at the soul level. We finally see the truth that George Bailey did in the classic film It’s a Wonderful Life: No one is a failure who has friends, and kindness and generosity made him the “richest man in town.” Without his presence, no one else in his life would have fully lived who they came here to be. Same with each of us. You affect many more people than you know.

Being A Human Being is Compassion

Being A Human Being is Compassion - Panache Desai

You came here to be a human being. This means you came here to have the experience of being human. Why? You have to ask yourself “why as this infinite consciousness have I chosen at this time to be a human being?”

When you look around, humanity has forgotten its essential nature. We’ve forgotten who and what we truly are. You are here as an act of service, love and compassion. Being a human being is compassion. You come here from infinite source energy and potential and then you forget everything because you can’t hold on to the vastness of who you are in the limitations of your human form – especially human survival.

5 Ways to Embrace Acceptance and Self-Love

5 Ways to Embrace Acceptance and Self-Love

Whatever you are going through right now, know that you are always the one in full control of your life. The law of attraction is true to its meaning: all thoughts turn into things, eventually. Like attracts like, so to speak. In other words, the energy from our thoughts, be it positive or negative, attracts experiences of the same energy to come into our lives or manifest. This kind of mindset is imperative especially when confronted with the underlying challenges in your life. Acknowledging your emotions, especially any feelings of guilt, shame, hopelessness, insolvency, and gaslighting is the first step towards rebuilding one’s sense of acceptance and self-love.

Self-love is something many people do not consider because we tend to put the needs of others first before ourselves. However, it becomes important for you to care for yourself first, otherwise, you may not be able to care for others.

5 Simple Things You Can Do to Practice Gratitude

5 Simple Things You Can Do to Practice Gratitude - Julie Murphy

Gratitude is an incredibly important part of living an abundant and fulfilled life. It’s easy to get disheartened, overwhelmed and stressed out about what’s happening in your life and so gratitude can often get overlooked. The implementation of even a few consistent gratitude practices is a powerful way of bringing us right back into the present moment and seeing our life through a different lens.

What is Gratitude?

To understand how to achieve gratitude, let’s look at what it means. Gratitude is a more layered concept than simply saying thank you. It creates a positive emotional response and this is a core part of shifting the energy within the body on a physical and emotional level.

Mark Nepo's Weekly Reflection: Cascade

Mark Nepo's Weekly Reflection: Cascade

As soon as we can walk, we are
taught to run. In time, we think
we have to catch something out
of reach, when, if we let go, time
carries us the way a river carries a
boat with no oars. If we find our
place on the bottom, the noise stops
and time holds us in its soft cascade.

So jump into the current of time.
Sure, we will get wet. But that’s the
point. Important papers will dry and
seem less important. And the secret
maps no longer secret will free us
from ourselves. I once saw an old
woman leave her belongings on
the shore and wade in naked. I
feared she might be taking her
life. But she was finally giving
herself over to joy.

A Question to Walk With: Describe a race you need to stop running. How can you begin to stop?

This is from my book of poems In progress, The Tone in the Center of the Bell.

Speak Your Peace

Speak Your Peace - Dr. Sue Morter

In this Short Answer episode, Dr. Sue addresses how it's time for humanity to "mature" our consciousness on a global scale, to begin living from the Frontside of the Model of Consciousness as the creative and loving energy that we are. It is time for this evolution especially now in this moment in our planetary history with major conflicts taking place between countries, individuals, and within our own consciousness. It's time to tap our peace, and speak and live it out in the world for the benefit of all.

Why Is There Evil in the World? A Better Answer

Why Is There Evil in the World? A Better Answer - Deepak Chopra

The question of evil can crop up almost anytime, but it becomes pressing when war, with its mass violence and atrocities fills the news. Violence comes in many other forms, as we all know, so settling the questions about evil needs to be addressed.

Evil manifests in the world through actions, and although an evil act almost always is associated with violence, there are other aspects, such as destructiveness, oppression, and victimization. Yet to understand evil, we need to stick with actions. Having bad thoughts, bursting out in anger, and saying in the heat of an argument, “I could kill you” fall short of an evil act.

Are You Awake?

Are You Awake? - Temple Hayes

First, you must realize you are asleep, then you are awake.
Then you must die, so you can be born.
You can not be born until you die and you can not die until you wake.
Jungian psychology

I have always enjoyed the story of a multitude of people with Buddha wanting to know how he was so illumined and how he was such a healer and how he could change the vibration of darkness into light. As everyone was awaiting for the lengthy, complicated answer, he replied,” I am awake.”

How our summer solstice journey to Mexico inspires deeper self-knowledge

How our summer solstice journey to Mexico inspires deeper self-knowledge

The summer solstice during Mayan times

As many people know, the Maya were astronomers with their focus being mainly on the movements of the sun. Many of their sites, including Chichen Itza, were built in a way that seems to align with the sun’s changing position throughout the year.

The summer solstice (Saq ‘Q’ij in Mayan) was an important time for the Maya as they used this time for celebrating, dancing, and performing ceremonies to connect with the Light. This was also a time when they travelled to other dimensions in search of answers and solutions to problems so that they could create a better world. They observed that on this day each year, the sun seems to become ‘still’ giving them the longest day, which they saw as a special time of purification, abundance, fertility and youth.
