It's easy to forget that we are all perfect in our own design. Sometimes we muck it up with habits and choices that do not serve us.

Step onto a stress-free zone by developing this quality

resilience Step onto a stress-free zone by developing this quality
A frequently asked question by most of my clients is " Why am I stressing, my life seems so good to everyone else but myself". We need to understand that stress is a part of everyone's life, one way or the other.and beating stress seems to be one of our major daily concerns in order to lead a normal, healthy and happy life.

Having resilience towards stress is actually our best bet in life. In some of us, resilience is an inborn quality and yet some of us need to stretch the extra yard in order to cultivate it. Once we realize that we need to cultivate resilience, we need to make a conscious effort to do so.

Since we realize that we need to cultivate resilience, I will give you a few guidelines on how to develop this quality so that you step onto a stress-free zone most of the time and maintain a level of calm and balance in order to lead a life at the level of your ultimate potential.

CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE

Perspective change is very important. Do not live in the victim mode See the situation that you are in as a means to reach a higher level of success. View life as a challenge and change your behavior accordingly.

HIGHER AWARENESS

Become more aware of your own situation. This is imperative as it is important to understand yourself. Being overwhelmed by your negative emotions and reacting to them is very typical. Please do not get caught in this. Understand why you are on an emotional see-saw and what you need to do to overcome this situation.

BE AN OBJECTIVE OBSERVER

See yourself from another's perspective and try and handle yourself objectively. Do not infuse your own personal weaknesses and biases into your situation, you need to arrive at objective conclusions to your self-created issues.

DO NOT WALLOW IN SELF PITY

This is the easiest mode of survival. Learning to feel sorry for yourself and arriving at a level of comfort is ever so easy and comforting. You even want others to join in on the pity concept, then you start building up stress for yourself by living it up hugely, mentally.

CULTIVATE OPTIMISM

Looking at the brighter side of things is always the best option in life. Life is always good for an optimist.

MAXIMIZE STRENGTH MINIMIZE WEAKNESS

Build on your own strengths. Try to minimize all the negatives in your life. It is only a matter of attitude and perception. Keep that straight and view life through rose-colored spectacles. It does look beautiful.

DEVELOP A FOCUS OF CONTROL

You need to have a strong self-belief system. You must realize that only you are in control of your life. You need to take charge.

YOUR ENVIRONMENT RESPONDS TO YOUR MESSAGE

We need to understand our environment and our circumstances. Developing the right attitude will in due course influence your environment and your own life. You are at the helm of your own affairs. Be in control with a definite focus.

SOCIAL SUPPORT

See that your friend's circle is congenial to your growth and not negating your happiness. People with unsupportive relationships feel left in the lurch. You need to feel strengthened with your friends.

MAINTAIN A SENSE OF HUMOR

All people who can see the humor in life will be more resilient. Being happy is always a strength-giving feeling. See the fun in everything you do.

PHYSICAL FITNESS ROUTINE

Exercise is related to stronger levels of resilience. A strong body means a strong mind. The brain releases endorphins during exercise and these create a mind-body balance.

BE MORE SPIRITUAL

Spirituality is another path leading to a more resilient attitude. When you develop a stronger faith in yourself and a higher power, the challenges of life seem to straighten up.

COPING STRATEGIES

All the strategies we are using to build resilience, like a good diet, exercise programs, newer attitudes, all these combined give us a formula for stronger resilience. Of course, combating stress is an ongoing process. We cannot sit back and relax and say that "I'm completely stress free and don't need a support structure". You need to create a personality where a stress-fighting structure becomes an inherent part of your joy stream

TRUST THE PROCESS
You need to believe that you have the capacity to repair and restructure your own mind. Rejuvenate to enhance your own being by creating enough resilience.
