Anyone who has had the audacity to question mainstream science soon runs afoul, particularly in the blogosphere, of hard-line skeptics. Whether they are simply insistent or outright aggressive, the skeptical viewpoint has long been founded on a simple principle. Reality is what lies before us, in the three-dimensional world "out there" that's verified by the five senses. If you can see it, feel it, touch, taste, and smell it, the thing in question is real (making provisions for scientific instruments like telescopes and microscopes that extend the naked eye).

All eyes are on “La La Land” heading into Oscars season. The film received a stunning 14 nominations, tying it for the all-time record.

“La La Land” is a beautiful, creative and magical movie with an ending that no one I know can agree on. As my friend John said to me the other day, “The end left me confused, but not in a bad way.”

Home is a charged word for everyone, a source of emotion that's intimately associated with feeling safe and loved, of belonging. When asked "Where is home?" people reply with a country or city, perhaps a specific street address. Almost no one says "My home is the universe." But for scientists trying to explain cosmic issues, the fact that the universe is the ultimate home where human life arose poses some huge mysteries. In our book You Are the Universe , we explore these mysteries, but that's really secondary to something more important. We aim to show that the universe exists to be the home of human beings.

I watched President Trump’s inauguration from an airport TV in Guatemala. I’d just finished leading 22 people on a pilgrimage to live, study and participate in ceremonies with Mayan shamans at sacred sites. For me, it was the first leg of a two-month working-journey. I am still in Latin America, teaching and speaking at a variety of venues. In the days since that inauguration, I, like so many, have felt the horror of the emerging Trump policies.

Today is the anniversary or one of my dear friends deaths. It is also the Celebration of his Angelversary in Spirit. I am sharing with you the story I wrote about my experience walking this journey through suicide for my book No Mistakes. Suffering is caused by the story you make up about your reality. What stories are you making up about yourself and your life? What impact are they having?

Life isn’t suffering. Life simply IS. It’s not what happens to you, but how you interpret  what happens to you and what you make it mean that causes you suffering.

Wow, this past month has been intense. Who else is with me? All that no longer serves us must fall away. The old model of doing things must go. It’s time for energetic and financial expansion.

The election did not go like I had hoped it would. That said, I have spent a great deal of time in prayer and contemplation of the outcome and what it could mean for the USA and for me.
