By now, you have probably heard someone say … “Oh, It’s Mercury retrograde”. When Mercury Retrograde is about to begin many people begin to “feel” the energy shifts – possibly without even knowing it –  as it moves in. Now, I’m not an expert in Mercury Retrograde … nor am I an astrologer. I’m a psychic medium and someone who is sensitive to energy … just like you. I notice when the energy shifts … especially the strong shifts. When I feel things are off a bit, I tune into the energy (and look at the calendar), and I usually discover that Mercury is retrograde … then I take a breath, look up how long it will be in retrograde … and then plan to move forward at a slower pace – knowing that it always has something to teach me. Not that I always love this … but I can either hit my head against the wall, pushing and forcing OR go with the flow of Mercury in retrograde … and embrace its teachings. Which do you choose?

So, what is Mercury Retrograde?

Every Sunday evening, over the last three months I have been co-teaching a class that focused on manifesting with the phases of the moon.  We also helped each student discover their natural intuitive abilities, and we explored their natal charts in traditional astrology.

My portion of each class was the psychic piece, the other instructor shared the main concepts of the Moon and other planetary energy.

One question kept coming up for me.  Can you separate nature, nurture, free will, fate, karma, and the natal birth chart; or is everything jumbled together in a cosmic mix of destiny?

Some believe a natal chart provides an owner’s manual for your best life.

I’m not so sure.  Your astrological chart provides many valuable possibilities, but your free will can change everything.  This means the stars and planets have lots of wiggle room in how and what they might indicate about your journey on Earth.

“What should I focus on this year?”

“What really matters to me?”

“How can I best prepare myself for the path ahead?” and

“Will there be lines for toilet paper again?!?!”

In our next year together, we have the ability to create an abundant Mecca, both individually and collectively.  We are being provided with inspiration and increased vitality.  The caveat to this is; choose wisely.  Have positive intentions when creating your world.  This increased energy level can cause reckless behavior.  When creating, allow love to be your guiding force.

Two years ago we purchased a sweet home, that needed a little work.  After the closing; my husband flew down to meet with the contractor and create a plan for the small remodel.  I stayed in Alaska with the kids.  I felt very lucky and confident,  everything would be taken care of,  nothing would be forgotten.  My husband is a cardinal sign.  He is dependable, loves a challenge, takes control and gets things done.

Years ago,  I found myself in a situation that involved two gunshot victims.  One person lived, one person died.  I think about this often, not because the horror of it, but because it carries a much deeper meaning to me.  Sitting in the dark, next to the woman who had been shot, I felt connected to long ago in an unidentifiable place.

Hours later it hit me, I wondered if a karmic debt had been paid.

I believe the whole crazy shooting incident satisfied many karmic debts and lessons, not just mine.  This brings up the question, how much of our life is connected to the past ?

It is also interesting, for as long as I can  remember, I have had a very strong dislike of guns.  I can’t be around them.  Even as a very young child, I was aware that guns were associated with something that didn’t feel good.  Was this awareness from a past life; or did I just feel the pain connected with guns?

I was lucky to host a whirlwind weekend retreat in Sedona, Arizona. With the current travel restrictions and so many other unknowns percolating around us, I was not sure how it would look. I needed to manifest, live in the moment, and have flexible clients, just like the mutable sign astrology tribe. My prayers were answered. We left the rigid thinking and polarized people at the airport and started our adventure.

The hikes, meditations, and energy work were fabulous, but what made the retreat special was the women who took part in it. Each person shared the open heart energy our world needs now. Even when we revealed our deepest secrets, there was no judgment, only support, and love. Each person was flexible as our plans changed and they even seemed to thrive in exploring the different ways of looking at the adventure and life in general. I was surrounded by go-with–the-flow mutable astrological signs, or at least it felt that way.

This week on Saturday we have a New Moon in the sign of Libra, which is a cosmic invitation by this moon to plant the seeds of harmony, gratitude, and goodwill in all our relationships.

I always like to look at the week just before the New Moon as the one to start considering what I need to be open to, and what wants or needs to be born within me or in my outer life. So in preparation for the New Moon in Libra, this week really is an invitation to start over, to open your heart even if it’s been bruised and its a reminder to celebrate Love (and know that LOVE truly is the answer).

Since this week begins with the full moon in Sagittarius, a big friendly let’s dance together and learn something moon- let’s talk about something you might find interesting and intriguing. Since I started talking about the moon, let’s keep it going. Do you know about something in astrology called the Progressed Moon? It’s a super important piece of your personal Astrological puzzle… that not many know about.

Your Progressed Moon describes the flavor of a specific period of time that lasts about 2.5 years that influences the way you perceive the world and how you react to it. It affects every part of your life – work, relationships, family, etc. It’s like you put on a whole other set of glasses which affects your perception with well, just about everything.

I am amazed that not a lot of people know about this because having this information can be a real game changer!

For example, when your progressed moon is in Cancer you may be more in touch with your emotions and concerned with your inner world. When your progressed moon is in Gemini you’ll probably feel more social and enjoy being around people more than ever! When it’s in Capricorn you feel the urge to get down to business, or in Scorpio you lose all interest in superficial things and go deep, deeper and deeper. Every sign is an invitation to a way of working with the energy of your life and knowing where you are at with it makes things so much easier to navigate.

Learning about my Progressed Moon empowered me to navigate through some challenging times in my own life. This knowledge really prepared me for what was coming and allowed me to enter into this period of my life with grace and dive into the lessons that the Progressed Moon came to help teach me.  Because I knew I was very clear on what I had to process and frankly it made everything magical because I knew how to work with it on purpose.
