It's easy to forget that we are all perfect in our own design. Sometimes we muck it up with habits and choices that do not serve us.

Surprised By Simplicity

simplicity Surprised By Simplicity

"If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." Albert Einstein

"The obvious is that which is never seen until someone expresses it simply." Kahlil Gibran

“Be Here Now” This classic three word title from Ram Dass is brilliant simplicity.

Aha! moments spark meaningful insights.

Truth is simple.

There are no new truths but there are always new perspectives.

Simple is easy to remember.
Simple is easy to understand.
Simple is useful when it is compact wisdom.

Words will always be incomplete.

Words can be misunderstood.

Everything you understand from direct experience is valuable.

I write from observation, not imagination. Most of my writing is one page at a time, with only one to five words per line. My best ideas are distilled wisdom condensed into a single quote.

“The Light reflected by a mirror is real, yet do not confuse the mirror as the source of the light.” Will Hale 7-19-93

“We are the light, not the mirrors.” Will Hale 6-21-14

“A mirror only reflects light, never darkness.” Will Hale 4-5-15

Shine a light into a mirror.

A traditional flashlight with a focused beam works best. Flashlights on phones tend to be more diffused but you can experiment with any light source, even a candle.

Observe the reflections and shadows.

Interior designers often use mirrors to illuminate dark corners.
Experiment reflecting light into dark places.

Have you noticed?

“Mirrors reflect without judgment.”

The premier of insights from decades of personal writing will be posted here in SoulSpring, so please subscribe to my blog and you can be the first to read highlights from my upcoming collection ONE LIGHT, MANY REFLECTIONS.
